For the maintenance and further development of our server landscape, we are looking for an experienced person for our location in Cologne:
Administrator DevOps/IT operations (m/f/d)
What you’ll do:
You will actively participate in the development – and continuing further development – of our cloud infrastructure and our continuous integration/deployment set-up. You will deal with self-hosted containerisation, virtualisation and server administration. In the team, you will use your know-how to support others in using the infrastructure.
In addition, you will take over the support of our IT infrastructure. Here your duties will include the care and maintenance of NAS systems, dated IP telephony services, the printer, the network infrastructure, the backing up of our web pages and the administration of our virtualisation server. In our server and service landscape, we use and support the following technologies and tools, amongst others:
DevOps
- Gitlab
- Docker/docker-compose
- MQTT
- NGINX
- MySQL server
- Letsencrypt
IT infrastructure
- Asterisk -QNAP
- Firewall pfsense
- QEMU
After an appropriate training period, you will independently assume responsibility for the coordinated, technical implementation of projects. You will evaluate new technologies as part of a team and will be involved in the decision regarding their use.
Key Qualifications:

You are familiar with administrative activities in the Linux environment, can handle a command line and shell scripts, and understand the responsible use of productive IT systems.

Degree in computer science or comparable training with professional experience or several years of experience as a server administrator in a Linux environment

Very good knowledge of Linux server administration and Docker

Passion for servers, services and containers – autonomy and commitment

Good knowledge of English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Kubernetes
- Familiarity with the concepts of Saas, IaaS, PaaS and their applicability
- Dealing with Git
- Experience with cloud services
