The flexyPage® elevator displays can be used in conjunction with network cameras to dynamically display the situation in the elevator or on the floors in the event of a fire and during firefighting operations.

With VideoEvac, our flexyPage displays enable the implementation of the new requirements of DIN EN 81-76:2026-01 for remote-controlled evacuation via elevator systems.

The displays provide a clearly structured overview of all floors. By selecting a floor, a detailed view opens, allowing a direct audio and video connection to the respective level. This ensures a structured and timely evacuation process.

The elevator displays thus become an active part of the evacuation concept — highly visible, intuitively operated, and seamlessly integrated into the existing display infrastructure. For improved orientation, faster response times, and a significant increase in safety in emergency situations.

As a floor display on the rescue floor, they provide a view into the cabin, when the rescue services arrive and during rescue and extinguishing operations.

In addition, the flexyPage® multimedia elevator displays can show service personnel the exact position of the elevator car in the shaft and the number of people trapped in the elevator in the event of a fire or elevator malfunction. The data is generated using smart sensors and AI-supported computer vision technology and read out via the elevator’s position sensor and load sensor, which is connected to the display.

In the elevator car as a replacement for windows

Deployed in the elevator car, the firefighters can view the situation in the elevator lobby on the car display on the individual floors during the journey and before the doors open.

This allows the emergency services to quickly recognize whether there are people or fire on the floor – before the floor is approached. The solution can be used to replace the usually very small windows in the elevator doors..
